A Notre Dame education prepares young people for extraordinary lives. With authentic learning experiences and a broad, rigorous curriculum, the professional educators of Notre Dame Catholic School lead each student to discover his/her potential. By connecting the art and the science of teaching in every class everyday, students grow in a nurturing, faith-based culture of engagement that turns possibilities into realities.
Broad, Rigorous Curriculum
Notre Dame Catholic School fosters learning through a broad, rigorous, and challenging 21st Century curriculum that develops fundamentals in our early-childhood programs, builds the foundation for content knowledge in the primary grades, and emphasizes literature, science, and mathematics in the upper grades. Recognizing that students thrive on engagement in developing a lifelong love of learning, a Notre Dame education encompasses technology, the arts, and enriching projects and excursions at all grade levels. With a constant focus on nurturing the development of each individual child, Notre Dame balances research-based instructional practices with the human side of teaching, creating an ideal environment for learning.
Notre Dame uses the academic standards of the State of Indiana as a guide and is transitioning to the Common Core State Standards as we continue to support students in engaging with content more deeply in every subject area.
